Paying Less for a Facelift

There is no doubt that a facelift procedure is an excellent way to repair the signs of aging, but the procedure does not come inexpensively. A facelift procedure is a major surgery, and if you’re considering the possibilities, you should do so with an open mind, especially if you’re trying to save a bit of money on the procedure.

Travel for a Facelift

The best bet for saving money on a facelift is to go somewhere else to have the procedure. A facelift procedure can be well over $10,000 in the United States, but only half of that if you travel to a different country to have the surgery performed. Many of the surgeons who perform plastic surgery in other countries trained with the surgeons who are closer to your home town. They simply returned to their own countries to practice.

By traveling for a facelift, you’re able to take advantage of the resorts and recovery centers in other nations as well as the reduced rates for the surgery itself. While not a traditional vacation, traveling for medical procedures will leave you with excellent care and money left over.

Have Surgery in the Off Season

Another option to reduce some of the costs is to arrange to have the surgery during the offseason. Most cosmetic surgery happens over the winter holidays. Surgeons are busy during time where there are plenty of vacation days for recovery and charge top rates. You may be able to find less expensive rates for surgery by choosing to have the procedure in a month when surgeons are less busy – September or October, for example.
